From 15 September 2025, outgoing mail servers for @monaco.mc and @libello.com accounts that do not meet international security standards will be permanently switched off. If your email settings are not updated by this date, you will no longer be able to send emails. All users must check their settings before this date.
In response to the rise in phishing attacks and related risks, Monaco Telecom is strengthening the security of its incoming and outgoing mail servers for addresses ending in @monaco.mc and @libello.com. If you have one of these email addresses, you need to make sure that your email software (e.g. Outlook, Mail, Thunderbird)* is correctly set up on Monaco Telecom's secure servers, on all the devices you use.
Monaco Telecom has created a dedicated page on its website to guide you through the process. You can find it at monaco-telecom.mc/config. Video tutorials explain step by step how to configure your email software in just a few minutes, depending on the device you use (PC, Mac, Android smartphone or iPhone). Once your settings are updated, you can use the "Check" tool to send a test email and confirm your account is correctly configured on Monaco Telecom's servers.
Since June 2025, around 1,300 customers have contacted Monaco Telecom's customer service or visited the Maison du Numérique to get support with navigating this process.
There are three ways to get help:
- Make an appointment with an advisor at the Maison du Numérique by calling +377 92 26 92 26
- Call Monaco Telecom's customer service team on +377 99 66 33 00
- Ask Monaco Telecom's virtual assistant at www.monaco-telecom.mc or via WhatsApp on +377 377 10 000
*If you only use Monaco Telecom's webmail service via your internet browser, you do not need to take any action. Your messages already go through secure servers.

"Protecting our customers' data is a priority for us. Today, cyber-attacks are the main threat for email users. As an operator, we are doing everything we can to step up the security of our digital infrastructure and that of our customers, and to provide them with the best possible support." - Martin Péronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom
"Email attacks pose many risks: identity theft, loss of personal data, theft of online account passwords, and misuse of bank details. Each of us has a responsibility to be vigilant, but operators must also put in place the essential measures to block intrusions wherever possible." - Frédéric Fautrier, Director of the Monaco Cyber Security Agency
