Cyclovia Vista Rolls Back into Town on September 27

The City of Vista is proud to bring back Cyclovia Vista for its second year! This FREE, family-friendly event invites residents of all ages and abilities to enjoy downtown Vista in a car-free zone-on bike, foot, scooter, or any self-powered mode of travel.

Join us on Saturday, September 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the heart of the Historic Vista Village. Cyclovia is a celebration of clean air, sustainable living, local businesses, and active transportation-all wrapped up in a high-energy community street festival.

Community Rides

Guided group bike rides, led by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, depart every hour on the half hour from the Vista Memorial Flagpole on S. Citrus Avenue. Rides are designed for a range of skill levels:

• 9:30 a.m. - Downtown/Kids Ride (1.7 miles)
  A short, no-hills cruise through Downtown to the Wave Waterpark and back.

• 10:30 a.m. - Brengle Terrace Park Ride (4.5 miles)
  Enjoy scenic views along the Wíivay Trail with a stop at Wíivay Park and highlights like the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens and Vista Library. Includes a moderate hill.

• 11:30 a.m. - Bike Safety Infrastructure Ride (3.2 miles)
  Ride through Vista's protected bike lanes, learn to navigate a roundabout, and build confidence on the road.

• 12:30 p.m. - Downtown Ride/Kids Ride/Bike Party (1.7 miles)
  Wrap up the day with a fun group ride and a mini bike party back through downtown.

Bike Rodeo

In partnership with the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, this open-to-all-ages rodeo features skill-building stations, an obstacle course, and safety tips to boost your confidence on the road. Certified instructors will guide riders through hands-on learning.

Scavenger Hunt

Tour the event, meet local businesses and sustainability-focused groups, and earn a reward! The first 200 participants to complete the scavenger hunt quiz will receive a $10 gift card to a participating downtown business. Start at the City of Vista booth.
