UW Seeks Public Comment on Tuition Recommendations

The University of Wyoming seeks public comment on recommendations regarding student tuition for the 2027-28 academic year.

At its Sept. 23-25 meeting, the UW Board of Trustees is expected to act on the recommendations from the university administration, and public input will help inform the trustees' decision. Notable variances from the current trustees tuition policy of a 4 percent annual increase are as follows:

-- No increase to the Wyoming resident main campus undergraduate tuition. This rate would remain the same as the current 2026-27 academic year.

-- No increase to the nonresident main campus undergraduate tuition rate. This rate would remain the same as the current 2026-27 academic year.

A table, outlining the standard tuition rates for the 2026-27 academic year and the administration's recommendations for the 2027-28 academic year, may be found here.

Those wishing to comment on the tuition increase should go here. The deadline for written comments is 11:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4.

The tuition rates noted above do not include the university's mandatory student fees or program fees. These proposed rate changes do not apply to programs with differential or market-based tuition rates.
