Chinese Consul General in Davao Zhao Xiuzhen Attends the Eid Al-Adha Bazaar

On June 6, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen attended the Eid Al-Adha Bazaar and delivered a speech. Gabriel F. Nakan, Deputy Mayor and Head of Davao City Muslim Affairs Office and representatives from related institutions were in attendance.

In her remarks, Consul General Zhao Xiuzhen stated that China had always attached great importance to equality and unity among all ethnic groups, and vigorously supported the economic development of ethnic minorities including the halal industry. She hoped the bazaar would serve as a bridge to connect diverse cultures and deepen mutual friendship.

Nacan thanked the Chinese Consulate General in Davao for its long-standing support to the Muslim communities in Mindanao.
