LAKE OSWEGO -- The Lake Oswego DMV at 3 SW Monroe Pkwy, Suite D, will be closed this week due to ongoing facility issues.

"We understand this is inconvenient for customers and staff who work at the location, but we want to make sure any potential issues are addressed before we reopen," said DMV Field Services Group Manager David McKay. "The health and safety of our employees and customers is a top priority. We will reopen as soon as we can do so safely."

Customers who have appointments this week will be notified for assistance in rescheduling those appointments. There are nearby DMV offices in Gladstone, downtown Portland, Beaverton and Sherwood.

The Lake Oswego office has experienced a series of plumbing and air quality issues since Sept. 28. The office has been closed periodically since Oct. 6 as DMV worked with building management, ODOT's safety office, and others to investigate and address the source of the odors. Some plumbing and HVAC repairs were made during this time.

Air quality testing for a variety of emissions has not shown results outside safe ranges. Natural gas and carbon monoxide were not detected. This week's closure will allow further air quality and systems testing.

DMV has Express Kiosks in Fred Meyer stores throughout the region including in Beaverton, Happy Valley, Hillsboro, Portland and Tualatin. The kiosks provide customers with convenient access to some DMV services days, nights and weekends in trusted locations across the state.
