Co-op earns ‘Great Place To Work’ certification, all-time high score

Great River Energy is proud to announce it is again recognized as a certified Great Place To Work. The award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at the cooperative.

In this year's survey, 94% of employees said Great River Energy is a great place to work. This is the highest score the organization has ever received, representing nearly a 6% increase since the last survey was taken in 2024 and is 37% higher than a typical U.S.-based company.

"Accolades like these prove that an intentional, values-driven culture is a tangible benefit to the people who work here as well as the member-owners we serve," said Great River Energy President and Chief Executive Officer David Saggau.

Employer of choice

Being a certified Great Place To Work is the most definitive "employer-of-choice" recognition companies aspire to achieve. It is the only recognition based entirely on what employees report about their workplace experience - specifically, how consistently they experience a high-trust workplace. Great Place To Work Certification is recognized worldwide by employees and employers alike and is the global benchmark for identifying and recognizing outstanding employee experience.

"By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident Great River Energy stands out as an employer of choice," said Rona Stewart, manager of employee engagement and learning at Great River Energy. "This achievement is a testament to the culture we've built together and the contributions of employees across the organization."

Great River Energy has participated in five Great Place To Work surveys and earned certification each time. View the cooperative's certified company profile at greatplacetowork.com.
