Westbound I-8 Connector to Southbound I-5 closed July 7

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) connector to southbound Interstate 5 (I-5), Tuesday, July 7, 11:15 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for drainage work.

Motorists traveling westbound on I-8 may connect to northbound I-5, exit at Sea World Drive, and then turn left to the I-5 southbound on-ramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
