Safety improvement work resumes on Garden of the Gods Road on Monday
Construction to improve intersection safety on Garden of the Gods Road will resume Monday, Jan. 5, starting with closures in eastbound lanes near Northpark Drive and Mark Dabling Boulevard.
At least one lane in each direction will remain open during these operations.
Motorists should use extra caution in these areas. Safety barriers will be in place, and motorists can expect to see heavy equipment, safety signage, and workers on foot.
The project underway includes installation of new traffic signals to make the area safer for drivers and pedestrians. Construction in this area is expected to be completed in late January 2026.
