Construction Update: Telfair Street and Greene Street

AUGUSTA, GA - Construction Update: Telfair Street and Greene Street
AUGUSTA, GA (October 17, 2025) - Progress on the Broad Street Improvement Project is continuing with the following upcoming work scheduled:
· Telfair Street (7th Street intersection to 6th Street) - This section of Telfair Street is closed for traffic while crews complete construction activities including drainage improvement work. Work is expected to be completed within three to four weeks. Please plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time. We'll share updates if the closure needs to remain in place longer.
· Greene Street (3rd Street to East Boundary) - Weather permitting, paving is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 25. Irrigation installation is currently underway in this area.
