Description

The fourth and final meeting of 2025 reaffirmed that preventing violent extremism is not only a security challenge, but also a broader societal issue. The Whole-of-Society (WoS) approach, central to the ProtectEU Strategy1 and embedded in the Strategic Orientations on the Prevention of Radicalisation2, provides a framework for coordinated, inclusive, and sustainable action across sectors and governance levels.

The meeting highlighted that effective prevention requires addressing root causes, promoting inclusion, limiting discrimination, and fostering social cohesion, combining different levels of prevention.
