DALLAS - Applications for all Dallas ISD specialty schools and Legacy School transfers are open now through Jan. 31. To help families navigate the application process, Dallas ISD will host a Virtual Discover event from 10 to 11:30 a.m., tomorrow, Jan. 17, for all grade levels. Families will have the opportunity to explore more than 100 specialty schools and programs across the district including P-TECH, Magnet, STEAM/STEM, Montessori, Personalized Learning, and more.

Students prepare for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo
Seagoville High School students are preparing to take the spotlight at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, where an all-girl, Future Farmers of America team will showcase their cattle in the Braunvieh show next week. For the past few months, students in the agriculture and science program have been caring for cattle - feeding, grooming, and ensuring they are in peak condition for the competition. Interested in covering the story? Come capture the Seagoville team at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, in Cattle Barn One on the Fort Worth Stock Show grounds.

Dallas ISD offices and schools closed
All Dallas ISD offices and schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Normal district operations will resume Tuesday, Jan. 20.
