The Stronger Together Fund
A Community-Powered Effort to Support Lima and Allen County Families
When uncertainty strikes, Lima steps up.
Created by Mayor Sharetta Smith in partnership with the Lima Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Lima, and other trusted community partners, the Stronger Together Fund ensures that no family in our community goes without support - today or tomorrow.
Why It Matters Now
The ongoing federal government shutdown has put thousands of local families at risk of losing essential food benefits. In Allen County, more than 6,000 households rely on SNAP each month to help buy groceries. Lima refuses to let our neighbors go hungry - we cannot wait for others to act.
The Stronger Together Fund allows our community to respond immediately when crisis strikes - whether to hunger relief, a natural disaster, or other urgent needs.

Funds collected in 2025 will support West Ohio Food Bank, whose large-scale purchasing power makes your dollar go further - providing up to 6 meals for every $1 donated.
