FTI Consulting Invests in Financial Services Corporate Positioning Expertise With Senior Hire

Washington, D.C., Jan. 20, 2026 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the expansion of its financial services corporate positioning and reputation management capabilities with the appointment of Matt Ward as a Managing Director within the firm's Strategic Communications segment.

Mr. Ward, who is based in New York, is a corporate affairs, business transformation and communications expert with nearly two decades of experience advising senior executives and policymakers on crisis response, change management, media relations, M&A communications and digital brand positioning. He has in-depth expertise in the banking industry, having supported major organizations through corporate transformation while strengthening reputation by integrating data, AI and bespoke digital strategy into reputation and stakeholder management.

In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Ward will provide tailored and integrated communications advisory solutions to banking clients on executive positioning, crisis response and preparedness, transformation strategy, internal and external stakeholder engagement, and digital reputation management. Leveraging FTI Consulting's proprietary AI capabilities, he will help clients navigate the communications challenges in an increasingly volatile and contentious business environment.

Prior to his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Ward served as Head of Communications for Corebridge Financial following its initial public offering, where he drove employee communications, media relations, social media and digital reputation, including the use of analytics, SEO/SEM, generative engine optimization ("GEO") and AI tools. Before that, he was the Head of U.S. Communications and Americas Corporate Media Relations for HSBC, where he was a member of the U.S. executive committee and played a central role in guiding the bank's communications approach through strategic repositioning, business exits, leadership transitions and geopolitical developments.

Previously in his career, Mr. Ward was the Associate Director of Media Relations and Public Affairs at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. During his tenure, he developed communications strategies focusing on mitigating reputational risks and rebuilding trust following the financial crisis and led media relations for enhanced supervisory standards, student debt, housing and small business lending.
