Student leaders from the Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences played a central role in bringing together pharmacy students and professionals from across the Eastern United States for the 2026 Student National Pharmaceutical Association Regions I and II Conference, held in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Co-hosted with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, the conference welcomed participants from 52 SNPhA chapters representing both the Northeast and Southeast regions. Centered on the theme "The Capsule Unlocked: Empowering Tomorrow's Pharmacy," the event focused on leadership, collaboration, and advancing the profession through service and innovation.

Throughout the two-day conference, attendees engaged in a full schedule of professional development and networking opportunities. Activities included clinical skills and health equity competitions, business sessions, sponsored workshops, leadership roundtables, and continuing education sessions led by pharmacy professionals.

Students also had opportunities to explore career pathways through residency panels, industry exhibits, and sessions on non-traditional pharmacy careers and financial planning. A leadership luncheon, networking events, and an awards banquet featuring keynote speaker Terrence Burroughs provided additional opportunities for connection and inspiration.

Campbell student organizers were instrumental in planning and executing the event, gaining valuable leadership and project management experience along the way.

"I'm so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to plan the SNPhA Regions I and II Conference it was truly such a rewarding experience from start to finish," said Taylor Jones ('27 PharmD candidate). "Being able to work closely on every detail and then see it all come together made it even more special. Getting to meet and connect with so many amazing people along the way is something I'll always appreciate. The experience taught me a lot about myself and about others."

Alexander Valdez Alba ('27 PharmD/MSPH candidate) reflected on the broader impact of the event and the collaboration behind it. "With immense pride and joy, it has been an honor to lead our Campbell team in planning and executing the SNPhA Regions 1 and 2 Conference in Chapel Hill, NC. The opportunity to co-host alongside the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy has been an incredible journey. Witnessing student pharmacists connect, collaborate, lead, and actively transform the profession of pharmacy has been truly inspiring."

The conference highlighted Campbell University's continued commitment to leadership development, service, and excellence in pharmacy education. By helping to host this regional event, Campbell students demonstrated their ability to lead on a national stage while fostering meaningful connections that will shape the future of the profession.
