A strong representation of Polish companies and institutions took part in the prestigious Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Annual Convention in Toronto. The event was attended by PAIH's Chairman, Andrzej Dycha, as well as Jakub Stefaniak, Secretary of State and Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Canada, Witold Dzielski.

The PDAC fair is one of the most important and largest events of the global mining industry, bringing together thousands of representatives of the mining industry, technology and service companies, scientific and academic communities, geological services and government delegations from all over the world every year. During the fair, Andrzej Dycha met with Polish exhibitors and also visited the EUstand, where the Puławy Rare Earths Separation Plant project was presented.

The Polish delegation with the participation of PAIH's Chairman held talks with the Vice-President of the World Trade Centre Toronto, Jon Worren, and the Minister of Energy and Mines of the Province of Ontario, Stephen Lecce. Ontario's Minister of Long-Term Care, Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, also attended the meeting. The delegation was also attended by representatives of KGHM Polska Miedź - Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Anna Sobieraj-Kozakiewicz and Chairman of KGHM International Marek Bednarz.

In a conversation with the Polish delegation, the Minister of Energy and Mining of Ontario pointed to favourable investment conditions in the region and the great potential of cooperation with Poland in the energy sector, including nuclear energy and SMR (small modular reactors) technology.

At the same time, PAIH's Foreign Trade Office in Toronto, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ottawa and KGHM, organized an expert panel and a networking session "Polish-Canadian Opportunities in Mineral Extraction Event". The meeting was moderated by Urszula Terlecki from PAIH's Canadian office. The discussion concerned the possibilities of investment cooperation, the role of critical raw materials in the energy transition and CANDU nuclear technology.

During his visit to Canada, PAIH's Chairman Andrzej Dycha also met with business representatives, with whom he discussed potential investments in Poland and available forms of support offered by PAIH.
