MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: New Weight Restriction Placed on Webster County Route A over the James River

Webster County - Signs indicating a weight limit of 20 tons for single-unit vehicles and 40 tons for combination vehicles will be installed for a bridge on Webster County Route A over the James River in Webster County south of Marshfield, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The new load posting was introduced during the department's regular bridge inspection process, which analyzes load limitations and has been updated in accordance with Federal Highway Administration guidance.

The new weight limit will be in place until the bridge is replaced. At this time, no timeframe has been set for replacing the bridge.

Previously, there was no posted load limit on this bridge.
