LADWP says conservation efforts on the part of the Pacific Palisades community will help LADWP crews balance the delicate work of maintaining water pressure while also prepping backup water supplies which includes pressurizing disinfecting pipes and taking water quality samples.
LADWP continues to coordinate with the Los Angeles Fire Department to ensure that additional water tenders are available and accessible in the area for firefighting purposes.
To support public safety around the work site, all eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of Sunset Boulevard between Allenford Avenue and Mandeville Canyon Road are closed. For everyone's safety, cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists are urged to still avoid the area and use alternate routes.
