State Route 4 - Lane & Ramp Closures
Overnight One-Way Traffic Control In Delta

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Whiskey Slough in Holt to the Old River Bridge (San Joaquin/Contra Costa County line) for paving work beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full connector ramp closures from eastbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway to I-5 for bridge inspections beginning Monday, August 31, through Thursday, Sept. 3, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:30 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on-ramp closures from Center Street to westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for bridge inspections beginning Monday, August 31, through Thursday, Sept. 3, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:30 a.m.
  • Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from SR-99/Golden Gate Avenue to the San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line for pavement work beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

Interstate 5 - Ramp & Lane Closures
Closures From Pershing Avenue To Sacramento County Line

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full off-ramp closures from northbound I-5 at Pershing Avenue for bridge inspections beginning Monday, August 31, through Thursday, Sept. 3, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for construction beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
  • Overnight, alternating full on and off-ramp closures at Hammer Lane, Eight Mile Road, SR-12 (Flag City), Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Walnut Grove/Thornton Road for construction beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).

The above listed lane and ramp closures on I-5 between Hammer Lane and the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line are required as part of the I-5 Anchor Pavement Project that will improve 34 miles of existing pavement and shoulders from Hammer Lane in Stockton to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line. The project will also replace on- and off-ramps with upgraded concrete at Eight Mile Road, State Route 12, Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Thornton Road/Walnut Grove Road. State Route 26 - Lane Closures
One-Way Traffic Control For Electrical Work

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 26/Fremont Street (SR-26) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from SR-99 to Murray Road for electrical work beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

State Route 99 - Lane Closures
Sunday Morning Full Highway (Northbound) Closure For Sign Work

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 99 (SR-99) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Sunday, August 30, 2026 - 5:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
  • All lanes of northbound SR-99 will be closed at SR-26/Fremont Street.
  • Detour: Motorists will exit northbound SR-99 at SR-26/Fremont Street and use the SR-26/Fremont Street on-ramp to return to northbound SR-99.
  • Full on-ramp closure from Jack Tone Road to southbound SR-99 for landscape work on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
  • Single-lane closures of southbound SR-99 from Jahant Road to East Pine Street in Lodi for tree work beginning Monday, August 31, through Thursday, Sept. 3, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Interstate 580 - Ramp Closures
Overnight Closures At Patterson Pass For Construction

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 580 (I-580) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on eastbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on westbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, Sept. 4, from 9:00 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
