TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - Upcoming Salem Church Road Closures
Upcoming Salem Church Road Closures
Newark - ; The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the upcoming closures along Salem Church Road for the construction of a roundabout.
Monday, August 10 through Sunday, September 13
Cornell Drive will be closed as construction continues on the Salem Church Road roundabout.
A signed detour will direct motorists via Glasgow Drive to US 40 westbound.
Monday, September 14 through Tuesday, September 29
Salem Church Road will be fully closed in both directions between US 40 and Cornell Drive to complete the remaining portion of the Salem Church Road roundabout.
A signed detour will direct motorists via Reybold Road, Sunset Lake Road, and US 40.
Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow posted detour signage, and use caution while traveling through the area. Construction activities are weather dependent.
