Secretary of State Diego Morales' Office Hosting

Additional Public Meetings on Election Issues

INDIANAPOLIS- (September 25, 2025) - Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales announces his office will be holding additional election study public meetings. Three required meetings have already taken place. The office is holding two additional meetings to get more input from Hoosiers. An email box has also been set up to receive input from those unable to attend.

The additional Election Study Public Meetings are:

  • Tuesday, September 30 @ 6- 8 p.m. at the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library, 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Browning Event Room, Evansville, Indiana.
  • Wednesday, October 8 @ 6- 8 p.m. at the Munster Town Hall, 1005 Ridge Rd, Main Meeting Room, Munster, Indiana.

Individuals can email their input to: [email protected]

As required by HEA 1633, signed into law earlier this year, the Secretary of State's Office is conducting a series of statewide studies on two important election issues:

  • The timing of municipal elections, including the consideration of moving them to presidential or midterm election years.
  • Whether or not to use vote centers across Indiana.

Legislators requested the Secretary of State obtain input from voters at public meetings. We want to hear from Hoosiers in support or in opposition to these election issues.

Findings from meetings, along with election data collected from local election administrators and the Election Assistance Commission's Election Administration and Voting Survey (EAVS), will be compiled into a report for the Legislative Council.
