IronHorse ES1 AC Drives from AutomationDirect

April 29, 2026 - AutomationDirect now offers IronHorse ES1 AC drives that allow simple AC motor control for 3/4 up to 2 hp 230 VAC three-phase motors from a single-phase 120 VAC or 230 VAC input. These drives are proudly made in the USA and feature a simplified setup, requiring no software or parameters. The entire drive configuration is done through hardware trim pots for all settings, including minimum speed, maximum speed, current limit, acceleration, deceleration, boost, and DC injection braking. They are available in an open-chassis or NEMA 4X enclosure. The NEMA 4X models can be purchased with an optional enclosure-mounted FWD-REV switch. Motor speed is adjustable with an included potentiometer (enclosure mounted on NEMA 4X models) or from an external 0-5 VDC follower input. ES1 drives are simple V/Hz control drives, but can be set to output from 0-60Hz. They support the following inputs: FWD-REV, run, and (holding) brake.
