Jerónimo Martins reinforces its Foundation's endowment in a year marked by collective tragedies

Lisbon, 21th October 2026 - The Board of Directors of Jerónimo Martins, SGPS, S.A. has decided to reinforce the resources available to the Jerónimo Martins Foundation through an extraordinary donation of 40 million euros, enabling it to respond promptly and at scale to the social and humanitarian emergency caused by Storm "Kristin", which struck Portugal at the beginning of the year, and by the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that occurred in Colombia on 10 August.

The Foundation will allocate this additional donation to the pursuit of its statutory purposes, with a particular focus on supporting situations of acute
socioeconomic vulnerability and on the reconstruction, rehabilitation, repair, re-equipping and restoration of the operational capacity of homes,
infrastructure and social facilities, including nurseries and care homes for older people, that were severely affected by Storm "Kristin" and the
aforementioned earthquake.

This is an extraordinary decision prompted by the exceptional nature of the extreme events that affected both countries, with devastating consequences
that led to declarations of a state of calamity and contingency in Portugal, and a state of economic, social and ecological emergency in Colombia.

During Storm "Kristin", the highest wind gust since records began at IPMA was recorded, together with total rainfall amounting to more than twice the
average for the past 30 years. The earthquake in Colombia was, in turn, the most severe in the country since 1900.

In addition to the loss of life and the hundreds of thousands of people affected in the two countries where we operate, the overall economic impact was
estimated by the Portuguese Government at 5.3 billion euros, while estimates in Colombia point to losses of around 11 billion euros.

The increase in the Foundation's budgetary allocation makes it possible to expand the scale and reach of aid and solidarity initiatives, based on the logic
of private sector contributing to recovery and reconstruction efforts, in coordination with public institutions and civil society.

This extraordinary donation is in addition to the increase to 25 million euros in the funding allocated this year, already in the first quarter of 2026, to the
Biedronka Foundation, specifically to ensure continued support for the victims of the severe floods that occurred in Poland in September 2024, at a time
when the Jerónimo Martins Foundation, established only a few months earlier, was not yet operational.
