Jay Strickland Elected to the American Fire Sprinkler Association’s Board
Jay Strickland, Pye-Barker Fire & Safety Vice President of Business Development, has been elected First Vice Chair of the board of the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) for the 2025-2026 term
Congratulations to Pye-Barker's very own Vice President of Business Development, Jay Strickland, who was elected to The American Fire Sprinkler Association's (AFSA) Board as First Vice Chair and Region 6 Director.
As the former owner of Strickland Fire Protection in Forestville, Md., which was acquired by Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in 2021, Jay has been involved in fire protection and an advocate for the community for more than 40 years. He is NICET Level II Fire Protection certified in Water-Based System Layout, as well as the former chair of the AFSA Chesapeake Bay chapter and board member of Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation, which offers a college degree pathway for individuals in the skilled trades.
