The City of Burleson marked a historic milestone today as SPC Group, the global food company behind the Paris Baguette brand, joined city officials to break ground on its first dough manufacturing facility in North America.
"SPC started as a family bakery back in 1945, and even though they've grown worldwide, they're still about family and being a good neighbor," said Burleson Mayor Chris Fletcher. "That fits right in with Burleson, where we take pride in our community and supporting businesses big and small."
The $200M+ million project will bring a 267,000-square-foot production facility to Highpoint Business Park, creating 450 new jobs and delivering a significant boost to Burleson's local economy.
"Today marks more than the start of construction-it's the foundation of Paris Baguette's future in the United States," stated Darren Tipton, CEO of US Operations for Paris Baguette. "With this $200M+ facility in Burleson, Texas, we're not just building walls and machinery; we're building momentum, innovation and the ability to bring heart, joy and nourishment to even more communities across North America. This is a milestone on our journey to 1,000 cafés by 2030-and a testament to the passion, dedication and vision of our team."
Once complete, the facility will accelerate the distribution of Paris Baguette's dough line to produce their popular pastries and other baked goods across North America. By producing this dough centrally, the company will strengthen its supply chain, support future growth and position Burleson as a key player in SPC's global operations.
This investment reflects Burleson's ongoing commitment to attracting major commercial developments that expand the city's economic base and provide new opportunities for its residents.
