FEDERAL EMPLOYEE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN RESOURCE GUIDE Below is a consolidated list of local and federal resources available during the federal government shutdown. Each item includes a summary plus direct contact information. Employees should have a federal ID or proof of employment/furlough when requesting assistance and are encouraged to contact banks, landlords, and utilities early. FINANCIAL & EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund (FEEA) • Provides micro-grants and emergency hardship aid to qualifying federal civilian employees facing financial difficulties during a shutdown.
