The Illinois Power Agency (IPA) has partnered with Griffin & Strong, P.C. to conduct a Racial Disparity and Availability Study (Study) to measure the presence and impact of discrimination on minority and women businesses and workers in Illinois' clean energy economy. The Study will assess the State's clean energy economy regarding access, participation, and utilization of workers and contractors with the goal of analyzing whether race or gender has been a barrier to equitable access for all businesses and workers, and develop recommendations for the IPA and other relevant state agencies to remedy any discriminations.
On November 19 at 6 p.m. CT, Griffin & Strong, P.C. will host an informational meeting via Zoom. The informational meeting will provide the community with an opportunity to learn more about the Study's process, how to get involved, and ask any questions relevant to the Study. The community's involvement is vital for ensuring diverse perspectives are heard and that the Study gathers the most accurate feedback of those who work in the clean energy sector. Registration for this meeting is recommended but not required.
