Man Will Face Attempted Murder Charges for Attacking Family Members Monday

Arrest warrants charging two counts of attempted murder have been issued against Reginald Eugene Ward, 45, in connection with Monday morning's attack on his stepfather and stepbrother inside the family's residence on Springview Drive.

The investigation shows that Ward kicked in the door of his 42-year-old stepbrother's bedroom and hit him with a hammer. Ward's 70-year-old stepfather went to intervene and was seriously stabbed by Ward. Ward was also wounded during the scuffle with his stepfather. Ward remains hospitalized and will be booked on the two attempted murder warrants when he is discharged.
