Costumes, candy and community fun will take over City Center when Trick or Treat at City Center, presented by Suncoast Credit Union, returns from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. The annual celebration takes place at the City Center Front Green, 4970 City Hall Blvd.

Families can follow the Pumpkin Trail through creatively decorated booths hosted by local businesses and organizations. These Pumpkin Trail Partners make the free community event possible by transforming each stop into a new scene to discover, with candy and kid-friendly themes ranging from ghostly displays to familiar characters. The first 250 trick-or-treaters will receive a bag for goodies from GEICO Local Office North Port. All participants are encouraged to bring their own bag.

New this year, costumed guests can head to the Monster Mash Pit, where DJ Devon will fill the Front Green with Halloween favorites and dance-floor fun. Little monsters, superheroes and characters of every kind can show off their best moves throughout the evening. Families can also add their creative touch to a family-friendly Halloween mural and stop by a spooktacular photo station to capture a keepsake from the evening.

When hunger strikes, guests can visit the food trucks for a tempting selection of meals and sweet treats available for purchase.

"Our Pumpkin Trail Partners bring so much imagination and community spirit to this event," said Clare Sanshie, Special Event Supervisor for the City of North Port. "Their creative displays turn the Front Green into a Halloween experience where families can spend time together, connect with local organizations and make memories close to home."

Attendees are encouraged to sign up for event safety updates and notifications by texting GOBLIN26 to 888-777.

The City thanks the sponsors and community collaborators who help bring this Halloween celebration to life: Suncoast Credit Union, Oak & Stone, Wharton-Smith, Inc., A&A Title Agency, LLC, Century 21 Tropical Breeze Realty, GEICO Local Office North Port, The Home Depot, Kiwanis Club of North Port and the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce.
