Dentons’ Corporate and Commercial practice in Barbados welcomes Curtis K. R. Cave

Senior Associate, Curtis K. R. Cave, joins the Corporate and Commercial practice in Barbados, further strengthening the Firm's ability to support clients operating across the Caribbean's increasingly interconnected business landscape.

A key aspect of Curtis' work involves coordinating cross-border matters throughout the Caribbean, as he references in his remarks in being "Honored" to join the Firm, and looking forward to, "contributing regional insight and cross-border experience to a globally connected team delivering client-focused solutions."

Curtis advises a broad range of regional and international clients on corporate and commercial matters, with particular emphasis on multi-jurisdictional operations. His work includes guiding clients through corporate formations and registrations, restructurings, governance frameworks, and regulatory obligations, as well as advising on shareholder arrangements, commercial agreements, and risk considerations arising from business relationships.

In addition to his corporate practice, Curtis brings significant experience in matters at the intersection of commercial activity and maritime operations. Over the course of his career, he has advised shipping interests, insurers, and international counterparties on a range of admiralty-related issues, including vessel arrests, collisions, secured interests, and the release of vessels where commercial exposure was material.

Curtis also brings valuable governance insight shaped by his service in senior leadership roles within large financial cooperatives, where he has contributed to policy development, by-law oversight, and strategic decision-making at board and committee level.
