LONG BEACH, CA - Today, Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) released the following statement on the passing of labor leader and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta.

Dolores helped raise workers' wages and benefits, fought for women's rights, and built invaluable grassroots voter engagement efforts. Her lifelong commitment to activism and empowerment transformed countless labor unions, feminist movements, and progressive organizations for the better.
