Media Advisory: High Representative Kaja Kallas travels to Brazil

On 19 September, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, will visit Brazil.

In Brasília, High Representative Kallas is scheduled to meet with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, followed by a joint press statement at the Itamaraty Palace (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), which will be broadcast by EBS. The High Representative will also meet with Special Adviser to the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Celso Luis Nunes Amorim.

During the visit, HR/VP Kallas will also engage with youth and civil society.

This marks the HR/VP's first visit to Latin America. Key topics on the agenda include the relaunch of the EU-Brazil strategic partnership and the adoption of the EU-Mercosur agreement, recently announced by the European Commission.
