Longwood’s online MBA earns top 50 spot in national ranking for 2026 by Poets&Quants

Longwood University ranked nationally on the Best Online MBA Programs in the U.S. for 2026 list compiled by Poets&Quants -a distinction that underscores the MBA program's growing momentum and commitment to delivering measurable value for its graduates.

This marks Longwood's first appearance in Poets&Quants' annual online MBA rankings, which evaluate programs nationwide based on admissions standards, academic experience and career outcomes.

"This latest national ranking reflects the core strength of our Online MBA-providing a high-quality education at a reasonable value," said Dr. Khawaja Mamun, dean of the College of Business and Economics. "It is a testament to the rigor of our curriculum, the expertise of our faculty and our shared commitment to educational excellence."

Poets&Quants (P&Q) is a leading resource in business education devoted to covering the graduate business education market and is known for its comprehensive and candid rankings.

The latest ranking adds to a growing list of national accolades for Longwood's Online MBA program. Earlier this year, Longwood was ranked No. 135 nationally in Best Online MBA Programs by U.S. News and World Report. The program ranked No. 1 in the category "Faculty Credentials and Training," out of the 355 degree-granting distance-education programs surveyed. Longwood's program was also named one of the "Best MBA Programs for Your Money" by Money, placing it among just 33 graduate business schools nationwide to earn the distinction for 2025.

The MBA program has also earned national recognition as among the nation's most cost-effective options for students seeking a high-quality education at a competitive price. The program's innovative and rigorous curriculum, as well as its flexible online format, is ideal for working professionals. In addition, the high quality of the faculty members that teach the MBA courses is among the attributes that sets Longwood apart.

Longwood's CBE is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International)-a distinction that only 6 percent of business schools worldwide earn.
