On April 25 and 26, the Chinese Consulate General in Belfast participated in Belfast Spring Fair and launched themed activities for the 2026 International Chinese Language Day.
Consul General Li Nan had cordial exchanges and friendly interactions with people from all sectors of Northern Ireland. He briefed participants on China's achievements in economic and social development as well as traditional Chinese culture, fostering a warm and congenial atmosphere.
A dedicated cultural exhibition area was arranged at the venue, where books and materials on China's history, culture, economic development and social progress were distributed free of charge, drawing crowds of visitors. Interactive cultural experiences including ink-blowing painting, handkerchief twirling and shuttlecock kicking were available. Traditional performances such as Sichuan face-changing and guzheng recital were staged, earning warm applause from the audience.
As an influential annual public event in Northern Ireland, the Spring Fair serves as an important platform for people-to-people and cultural exchanges. The event enabled local visitors to experience the charm of Chinese culture in an immersive way, further enhancing mutual understanding and friendship.
