September 17, 2025 - The University of Charleston has again been named one of the Best Regional Schools by the Princeton Review in its "Best Regional Colleges" listing, recently released.
The 2026 publication lists schools in seven zones: Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, South, Southwest, West, and International. This year, 631 schools were recognized overall.
UC is one of 98 schools listed in the Mid-Atlantic Region that the publication considers "academically outstanding and well worth consideration." (Schools are not ranked but listed alphabetically.) UC was one of five West Virginia Schools to make the list.
The Mid-Atlantic Region includes schools in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
This accolade follows the University of Charleston being named the top college in West Virginia by Niche.com in its 2026 rankings of the best colleges, and as UC celebrates some of its highest on-campus enrollment in recent years, adding to the momentum surrounding the institution.
