Rep. Carl Gilliard to Host Interchange Dedication Ceremony Honoring Rep. Edna Jackson
ATLANTA - State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah) will host an interchange dedication ceremony honoring State Representative Edna Jackson (D-Savannah), who previously served as mayor of the City of Savannah, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip AME Church in Savannah, Ga.
During the 2021 legislative session, Rep. Gilliard sponsored House Resolution 354, which dedicates the interchange at Interstate 516 and Veterans Parkway in Chatham County as the Honorable Representative Edna Jackson Interchange.
The dedication ceremony will begin with a brief program followed by a motorcade procession to the location of the interchange.
