WNBA Star Skylar Diggins and Broadcaster Cassidy Hubbarth Launch ANDMOM, a New Podcast About Motherhood and Ambition, with Vox Media and Wavelength

Vox Media and Wavelength today announced the launch of ANDMOM, a new video podcast hosted by WNBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist Skylar Diggins and veteran sports broadcaster Cassidy Hubbarth. ANDMOM debuts on May 14 and features a stellar lineup of guests including Shawn Johnson, Lisa Leslie, Ally Love, Brittney Griner, and more. New episodes will be released biweekly across podcast and video platforms, and the trailer is out today.

Born from the belief that women should not have to choose between motherhood and ambition, ANDMOM offers an unfiltered look at what it actually takes to build a career and raise a family while performing at the highest levels. Drawing on their personal experiences and those of their all-star roster of guests, Diggins and Hubbarth dive into the realities of modern motherhood. From miscarriages and fertility challenges to workplace advocacy, identity shifts, and the emotional and physical toll of childbirth, ANDMOM creates a space for deeply honest, often under-discussed stories.

"After becoming a mom, I experienced some of the most challenging moments of my life-and I know I'm not alone in that," says Diggins. "With ANDMOM, we're building a space where women can speak openly about what they're going through, support one another, and feel less pressure to hide parts of their story."

"The emotions I went through during my pregnancy, especially the fear of how it might impact my career, led me to hide it for a time. I was trying to control whatever I could in a moment that felt so uncertain because I only knew life before becoming a mother then," says Hubbarth. "I want this show to push back on outdated expectations and support women navigating the real balance of career, identity and motherhood, while reminding them it's okay to feel those fears and come out stronger on the other side."

ANDMOM blends personal storytelling with practical advice, creating a community for women to discuss the highs and lows-both challenging and joyful-of modern motherhood.

Skylar Diggins is a seven-time WNBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist, who recently signed to the Chicago Sky. A fearless competitor on the court, she's also become a powerful advocate for mental health, motherhood, and equity in sports. Skylar uses her voice and platform to help other women feel less alone and push for systemic change.

Cassidy Hubbarth is a veteran sports anchor who spent 15 years at ESPN covering the NBA, hosting and reporting across flagship programs including NBA Tonight, SportsCenter, and NBA Countdown, before joining Amazon Prime Video in 2025 as the lead NBA sideline reporter. Her personal experience navigating pregnancy in a high-profile role has shaped her commitment to fostering more open and supportive conversations around motherhood in the workplace.

"Skylar and Cassidy are creating a space for real conversations about what it takes to be a mom and a woman at the top of her game," says Lillian Xu, VP, podcast business, at Vox Media. "We're proud to partner with them to bring these conversations to life, and to have ANDMOM join our deep bench of athlete-led shows where sports are just the starting point."

"For too long, motherhood has been seen as a disruption to ambition," says Christine De La Rosa-Stotz, creator and executive producer of the show (and mom to three). "ANDMOM exists to reframe that conversation by creating a space for moms to be brutally honest about the trade-offs and resilience it takes to do both. It's a show for moms, created by moms, pushing back on the idea that you have to choose."
