Achievements / Efforts of Department of Biotechnology aimed at Swachhata and expeditious disposal of pending matters in Government during November, 2025 – August, 2026

The Special Campaign 5.0 focusing on Swachhata and expeditious disposal of pending matters was conducted from October 2-31, 2025 in the DBT with enthusiasm and dedicated support of its Divisions, Scientific Units and Autonomous Institutions.
In order to institutionalize and sustain the momentum generated during the campaign, the Department registered significant achievements in Cleanliness, Grievance Redressal, Record Management, and scrap disposal, during November, 2025 - August, 2026, as under:-

Cleanliness Drives at 291 Sites conducted across DBT and its field formations.

Public Grievances and Appeals
290 PGs and 25 Appeal disposed off during the period.

Space Freed (in square feet)

29,350 sq. ft. of office space has been freed through systematic cleaning and record management initiatives

(iv)


Revenue Earned (through disposal of e-waste and scrap)
Revenue of ₹ 38,77,235/- has been generated through disposal of e-waste, scrap and unserviceable items.

The progress of above activities was reviewed by the Secretary, DBT and Nodal Officer on regular basis. The Department had made sincere and dedicated efforts to update the progress on SCDPM Portal and ensured saturation of Swachhata in all the offices under the administrative control of Department of Biotechnology.
