Temporary Road Closures Scheduled for Stormin’ Norman Half-Marathon and 5K

Closure to occur Sunday, March 29, 2026

NORMAN, Okla. - The Norman Police Department is advising the public of temporary road closures and traffic impacts in connection with the Stormin' Norman Half-Marathon and 5K scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2026.

To accommodate the races, the following roads will be closed to all traffic:

• Lindsey Street between Berry Road and Jenkins Avenue from approximately 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
• Jenkins Avenue between Lindsey Street and Apache Street from approximately 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• James Garner Avenue between Apache Street and Flood Avenue from approximately 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• Elm Avenue between Lindsey Street and Boyd Street from approximately 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time. Increased pedestrian traffic can also be expected along and near both race routes.

Please use caution when traveling in these areas and remain alert for participants, volunteers, and officers assisting with traffic control.
