Five new members elected to Oklahoma State University Foundation Board of Trustees

The Oklahoma State University Foundation Board of Governors has elected five new trustees and a new board chair:

  • Bryan Begley - Board Chair (Southlake, Texas)
  • Eddy Ditzler (Edmond, Oklahoma)
  • Kayleen Ferguson (Hot Springs, Arkansas)
  • Spencer Haines (Edmond, Oklahoma)
  • Lindel Larison (Edmond, Oklahoma)
  • Teri Shaffer (Dallas)

"It's a privilege to welcome five new trustees to the OSU Foundation Board," OSU Foundation President Blaire Atkinson said. "Each person brings a unique perspective and deep commitment to our mission. Alongside Bryan's elevation to board chair, their leadership will help us continue to shape a bold future for OSU."

Board Chair

Bryan Begley

Bryan Begley is the co-founder of two energy-focused private investment firms: 1901 Partners and ZBI Ventures.

He is currently the Chair of MEMCO, the OSU Foundation's Investment Management Company. His commitment to education and community empowerment is evident in his various leadership roles and philanthropic efforts. Begley and his wife, Jessica, are one of 13 alumni families who helped establish the Horizon Scholars program.

Begley earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from OSU in 1994, later earning his MBA at Harvard Business School in 1998. During his time at OSU, he was President of the Student Government Association, a candidate for the Rhodes Scholarship and a Truman Scholar.

New Trustees in 2025

Eddy Ditzler

Eddy Ditzler is a retired CPA whose career spanned more than 35 years with Grant Thornton LLP.

He served as lead engagement partner and quality control partner for audits of privately owned and publicly traded companies, later becoming one of six National Professional Practice Directors.

He remains active in business as a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee Chair for The Reserve Petroleum Company, as well as serving on the OSU Foundation Investment Committee and the Oklahoma City Community Foundation audit committee. He was inducted into the Spears School of Business Hall of Fame in 2024 and is a School of Accounting Distinguished Alumnus.

Ditzler continues to be a generous supporter of Spears, creating an endowed fund for accounting. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1978 and MBA in 1981 from OSU.

Kayleen Ferguson

Kayleen Ferguson is a passionate lifetime supporter of OSU.

Alongside her husband, Larry, she has had a transformational impact on OSU Agriculture through the funding of scholarships and facilities. The Ferguson College of Agriculture was named in honor of the Ferguson Family Foundation's historic $50 million gift toward the new Agricultural Hall and an endowment for the college.

She volunteers her time in many ways at OSU, including serving on the Women for OSU Advisory Council, inspiring others to positively shape the future of the university through philanthropy and engagement. In 2022, she and her husband were inducted into the OSU Hall of Fame.

Ferguson attended OSU before earning her bachelor's degree in secondary education at Utah State University in 1977.

Spencer Haines

Spencer Haines is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Love's Family of Companies, where he oversees financial strategy, capital allocation and enterprise risk management.

Before joining Love's in 2019, he was a shareholder at McAfee & Taft and began his career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen.

Haines serves on the OSU Foundation Board of Governors, the School of Accounting Alumni Board and the Eastin Advisory Board. He is also a supporter of scholarships and the Eastin Center for Career Readiness. Haines is active in the Oklahoma City community, serving on numerous nonprofit and university boards.

He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from OSU in 1998, going on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma and an LLM in Taxation from New York University.

Lindel Larison

Lindel Larison is the co-founder of Tall Oak Midstream and has served as Founding Partner and COO since its inception in 2014, leading the PE-backed company through three successful monetizations totaling over $2 billion.

He began his career with Chevron Phillips, later joining Chesapeake Energy, serving in engineering, commercial and various management positions.

He has also served on OSU's Board of Governors, the Mid-Continent GPA Midstream Association board, and the OSU Chemical Engineering Industrial Advisory Committee, and is an active fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation. He is a passionate supporter of OSU Athletics.

Larison earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from OSU in 2003.

Teri Shaffer

Teri Shaffer is a seasoned business leader with over 40 years of technology, cybersecurity, audit, risk management, talent management, board governance and business development experience.

As a former senior partner with EY, she led practices that directly contributed to the transformation and growth of the company into a $45 billion professional services firm.

She currently serves on the Compass Diversified Holdings Board of Directors and chairs the Audit Committee. Shaffer recently joined the Federal Home Loan Bank Office of Finance Board and is actively engaged in numerous other board governance associations. She and her husband, John, established the OSU Honors College's first endowed chair.

She earned bachelor's degrees in accounting and political science from OSU (with Honors) in 1984 and 1988, respectively.
