Update: Francisco Blvd E Mid-Block Crossing Enhancement Project Nears Completion
Francisco Boulevard East Mid-Block Crossing Project is nearing completion. The new HAWK (High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk) on Grand Avenue, located between Second Street and Francisco Boulevard East, was fully constructed and activated on December 15, 2025.
Following improved weather conditions, the contractor returned to the site in May 2026 to complete the remaining project work. Slurry sealing was completed during the week of May 25, 2026, and pavement striping is scheduled for the week of June 8, 2026.
Construction is anticipated to be substantially complete by June 12, 2026.
