Vice Governor of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Nino Jeladze, together with Giorgi Goguadze, Head of the Department for the Supervision of Payment Service Providers and Registration of Virtual Asset Service Providers, took part in the Korea Blockchain Week 2025 (KBW 2025) held in Seoul.

Korea Blockchain Week is one of Asia's most influential blockchain and Web3 festivals, bringing together global leaders from the crypto industry, senior representatives of central banks and supervisory authorities, regulators, and investors.

Within the framework of KBW, Vice Governor Jeladze held meetings with industry leaders and representatives of supervisory agencies, exchanging views on the legislative design of virtual asset frameworks, risk management, and approaches to regulatory enforcement.

"For the NBG, this event represents a strategic opportunity to gain deeper insights into emerging supervisory requirements and regulatory frameworks related to virtual assets, strengthen partnerships, and gather input for developing Georgia's own regulatory approach to virtual assets," - noted Nino Jeladze.

During KBW 2025, high-level international speakers shared valuable perspectives on virtual asset services, and oversight.

The National Bank of Georgia, in close collaboration with international partners, continues its active work on the development of frameworks for tokenized assets, stablecoins, and interoperable payment infrastructures. Dialogue also continues with representatives of the crypto industry, peer supervisory authorities, and technology platforms.
