GrowthCap Honors Bob Morse with Top Software Investor of 2026 Award

GrowthCap Advisory (G/C) is pleased to announce the Top Software Investors of 2026.

As traditional software continues to face pressure and uncertainty caused by AI, the most astute software investors and management teams are successfully transitioning to an offensive posture, protecting and improving their competitive positioning. Software companies that serve as systems of record or have deep domain expertise, it turns out, have real staying power. Now armed with AI, they become further entrenched in their customers' businesses and increasingly relied upon by them.

The best software investors anticipate macro and micro events, see around corners, and work steadfastly to ensure the growth and future prosperity of the companies they invest in. They leverage their pattern recognition, broad executive networks of specialized expertise, acquisition strategies, and proprietary knowledge, among other capabilities. They move quickly when needed and more deliberately over time when a more gradual approach is most effective.

Now in its eighth year of running this awards process, GrowthCap is pleased to announce the Top Software Investors of 2026.

To determine this year's awardees, GrowthCap evaluated the breadth and depth of each candidate's software investing experience along with their advancing AI capabilities and expertise. They looked closely at the types of investments the awardees have made and the role they have played in supporting their companies. GrowthCap also considered what makes these individuals unique and how they have distinguished themselves from their peers.

Their selections reflect what GrowthCap learned through the nomination process, conversations across the software and private investment communities, and their broader research into each nominee's career, investment activity, and work with portfolio companies.

The individuals included on this year's list represent some of the most accomplished and respected software investors of today. Please join us in recognizing and celebrating The Top Software Investors of 2026.

"I'm honored to be recognized again by GrowthCap. AI is the defining invention of our time, and it is the privilege of private equity firms to help software leaders convert that invention into pragmatic innovations. In product, this means selling knowledge work, not just tools to knowledge workers. In the company itself, it means changing how teams are constructed and jobs are defined. In this way, AI is a business change, not just a technology change. At Strattam, our commitment to transparency and our Five-Point Plan allow us to align upfront with leaders who are ready to rebuild their software, redesign their organizations, and deliver real business outputs for clients."- Bob Morse, Co-Founder and Managing Partner.
