Metal Beam Guiderail Upgrades to Route 6 in Thomaston and Plymouth

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that upgrading of existing guiderail will be performed on Route 6 in Thomaston and Plymouth. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, March 30 and be completed on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The project 0170-3718 consists of upgrading existing guiderail systems to current standard systems.

This project is being performed by Atlas Fence Company.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be lane closures on Route 6 from Monday, March 30 to Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No work will be performed on a scheduled holiday. Traffic control signing patterns and flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
