Honda Marine kicked off the summertime boating season as the presenting sponsor of the 2026 Homer HarborFest: A Celebration of Boats, Music, Food, and Art. Now in its second year, this two-day event took place along Kachemak Bay at the Homer Spit (4667 Freight Dock Rd.) on June 5-6, showcasing a wide variety of boats, marine products, live music, local vendors, and interactive activities for families, professionals, and outdoor adventurers.

As the presenting sponsor for Homer HarborFest 2026, Honda Marine played a central role in both the event's funding and its maritime activities with its participation deeply integrated into the festival's identity as a premier event for boaters and outdoor adventurers alike. This year, Honda Marine joined major returning local sponsors, including Bay Weld Boats, the Homer Marine Trades Association (HMTA), Emerald Air Service, Lakeshore Lodging Vacation Properties, and the Homer Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the spirit of Alaska, the Homer community, and a rich maritime culture.

Honda Marine headlined the festival's boat show at the Deep Water Dock, spotlighting the technology behind a range of its high-power outboard motors, including the Honda BF150 and the Honda BF115, models incorporating quality improvements from corrosion prevention to easier maintenance for maximum time on the water. At the venue's Boat Show & Marine Industry Showcase, static displays featured several customized fishing vessels, powered by Honda Marine:

• Bay Weld 26-foot Cuddy Cabin offshore aluminum boat, powered by twin Honda BF150s; custom-built and fully loaded, this boat is the grand prize for the 2026 Homer Chamber of Commerce raffle, with winners drawn later this year.

• Kingfisher1825 Falcon, provided by Alaska Mining and Diving Supply, powered by a Honda BF115; this is a heavy-gauge, all-welded aluminum fishing boat engineered for anglers who demand class-leading performance and all-day comfort.

Honda Marine also showcased additional outboards at the company tent at the Homer HarborFest venue, including the Honda BF350, the first production Honda V8 engine available commercially, offering exceptional speed and fuel efficiency, exhilarating acceleration, quiet operation and unparalleled performance for extraordinary boating experiences.
