he North Carolina Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM) is proud to announce that Chief Deputy Director Anca Grozav has been elected to the Executive Committee of the National Association of State Budget Officers (NASBO). In this role, she will serve as the Southern Regional Director, representing budget officers from across the southern United States.
"Anca's election to the NASBO Executive Committee is a testament to her leadership, expertise, and commitment to public service," said State Budget Director Kristin Walker. "Her voice will be a valuable asset to NASBO and to budget officers across the country."
NASBO provides support to state budget offices by promoting best practices, facilitating collaboration, and offering professional development opportunities. As a member of the Executive Committee, Grozav will help guide the organization's strategic direction and ensure that the perspectives and priorities of southern states are well represented.

          Grozav has served in various leadership roles within OSBM for the last 16 years. She has held the role of Chief Deputy Budget Director for the last three years. She has extensive experience in state fiscal policy, strategic planning, and performance management. Her election to the NASBO board reflects her dedication to advancing sound budgeting practices and fostering innovation in state government.
