TIF Funding Will Support Logan Square Brewery Expansion
Maplewood Brewing Co.'s planned acquisition and improvement of its Logan Square production facility will be supported by a $1.5 million Tax Increment Financing (TIF) loan approved by City Council today.
The brewery and distillery plans to invest $3.9 million to purchase the property at 2717 N. Maplewood Ave. and implement improvements that double its production capacity. The company has occupied the building since its founding in 2014.
The project, made possible by the low-interest, 10-year loan, will retain 35 positions and add five new full-time jobs.
The loan will be provided using proceeds from the Addison South TIF district.
