The holiday season is about to shine brighter in Sandy Springs! The City of Sandy Springs invites the community to celebrate the magic of the season at its annual Sparkle Sandy Springs celebration on Sunday, December 6. The festive event will transform the City Springs District into a winter wonderland filled with beloved holiday traditions, family-friendly activities, a spectacular nighttime parade, and the lighting of the Christmas tree and Menorah.

Festivities begin at 4 p.m. at City Green, giving families and visitors plenty of time to enjoy an evening of holiday fun, including:

  • Hot cocoa and seasonal treats
  • Falling snow
  • A festive gift market
  • Live holiday music
  • Ice skating (Skating sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.)
  • Family-friendly holiday activities

Experience the Magic of Sparkle Wonderland

Located along Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sparkle Wonderland offers families an unforgettable holiday experience, complete with some of the best uninterrupted views of the Sparkle Parade. Guests can sip hot cocoa, play in the snow, and enjoy a festive train ride while capturing magical moments with larger-than-life holiday inflatables, including Santa Claus, The Grinch, and Rudolph.

Discover Hillcrest Sparkle Village

Guests can also visit Hillcrest Sparkle Village around the City Green, where local schools and nonprofit organizations have transformed miniature houses into dazzling holiday displays. Each home will be decorated with lights, creativity and festive flair. Visitors can vote for their favorite house, giving participating groups the chance to earn year-round bragging rights.

A Parade Full of Holiday Spirit

At 6 p.m., the award-winning Sparkle Parade will step off from the intersection of Mount Vernon Hwy and Lake Forrest Drive, winding through City Springs before ending at Sandy Springs Circle, offering spectators even more places to view the parade. This year's parade promises to be bigger and brighter, with more floats than ever before.

The evening will culminate with a community countdown led by Mayor Rusty Paul as Sandy Springs lights both the Christmas tree and Menorah, officially illuminating the holiday season in the heart of the city.
