Point Breeze Credit Union and its supporters recently hosted the 7th edition of their charity golf tournament, "The Harvest." This year's tournament raised $30,000 for Maryland Food Bank and its hunger-relief efforts statewide.
Hosted at Country Club of Maryland in Towson, MD, Point Breeze Credit Union members, members of the surrounding community, and local businesses celebrated friendly competition and a worthy cause. Since its inception in 2018, "The Harvest" has raised $220,000 in donations to Maryland Food Bank.
"This year we are excited to celebrate our 7th annual "The Harvest" golf tournament and our 90th anniversary," said Tonia Niedzialkowski, President and CEO of Point Breeze Credit Union. "At Point Breeze, we live our mission of "people helping people" and we invest in our communities to promote the wellbeing of others. We are honored to support the important work of the Maryland Food Bank, and we are deeply grateful to the friends, family members, and colleagues who joined us to make this year's event a success."
"As we work to address the root causes of hunger and meet the needs of food-insecure neighbors, we know this work is not done alone," said Elise Krikau, Chief Philanthropy Officer, Maryland Food Bank. "Thank you to Point Breeze Credit Union and the rest of this year's participants for their generous support for the Maryland Food Bank and our mission against hunger."
