City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) facilities and services are closed or experiencing limited operations today, December 28, due to the severe winter weather and ongoing snowfall in Juneau.
CBJ crews have been working through the night to keep up with snowfall, prioritizing major arterials, followed by residential streets, however, more rain and snow is in the forecast. Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads where possible for their safety and the safety of others until the storm clears.

Capital Transit Operating on Winter Routes
Capital Transit winter routes today include the following adjustments for safety reasons:
Transit riders can expect delays on all routes.
Fish Creek Road, Eaglecrest Ski Area Temporarily Closed
Fish Creek Road will be closed until road conditions improve. Eaglecrest Ski Area will be closed due to the Fish Creek Road closure.
CBJ is closely monitoring the storm and road conditions and will provide an update on CBJ facilities and operations for Monday, December 29 when available.
