The Pre-College Programs office is offering a selection of online college preparation workshops this fall for current high school students in grades 9-12.

Part of University Without Walls (UWW), Pre-College Programs partners with academic departments across campus to provide high school students with opportunities to experience college-level academics through residential and online programs. The college prep workshop series is offered online with synchronous instruction in the fall, spring and summer, with additional options for in-person intensives in the summer.

A College Application Essay Writing Workshop will be offered on Saturdays from Oct. 25 - Nov. 15, from noon-1:30 p.m. This online workshop for high school students is focused on developing the skills needed to write a successful college application essay, from first draft to final product. The registration deadline for this workshop is Monday, Oct. 13.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, students can participate in an SAT & ACT Test Prep Workshop. The deadline for this workshop, which will meet from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., is Monday, Oct. 27.

Full and part-time benefited employees of the UMass system may be eligible for a 50% tuition credit for their dependents. More information about Faculty & Staff Tuition Discounts, including a Tuition Waiver/Remission Form, can be found on the Human Resource website.
